It’s Wear Something Gaudy Day today! What’s that? It’s a day when you have to wear something bright and flashy and crazy that you won’t wear on a regular day. Basically, today is the day when you can show off that neon pink shirt that you couldn’t stop yourself from buying. Wondering what you should pair it up with? How about neon green pants? Or maybe that rainbow-coloured neckpiece that emptied your pocket?
This colourful day is believed to have been introduced by a character named Larry Dallas from 1970’s hit TV comedy show ‘Three’s Company’.
This Wear Something Gaudy Day, here are some weird fashion trends that will make you go crazy:
Remember how Poo wore the wrong sandals to prom night in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham? Seems like wearing multi-coloured footwear is actually a trend.
Denim jeans boots
We have all worn full-length stockings. But have you ever heard about types of denim that are also boots? These denim jeans boots are sure to save you the task of finding a matching pair of footwear.
Baggy checkered jumpsuit
Jumpsuits are trousers and sleeved tops incorporated into a one-piece outfit which are comfy to wear every other day. Want something comfier? Try this:
Don’t you think that this baggy checkered jumpsuit can easily be used as a checkered grocery bag?
Chunky knit sweater
Are you someone who feels insanely cold during winters? You may want to try this giant chunky knit sweater and finally feel warm.
There are straight jeans. There are skinny jeans. There are bootcut jeans. There are flared jeans. And there are asymmetrical jeans too! This fashion invention is a combination of a fitted tight leg and a wide leg in one pant.
Since two-legged pants are too common, why not have a pair of jeans that has one full leg and a short leg too. But we have a question: Is it pants or pant?
Want to wear something more daring? How about cage trousers? Nope, these trousers don’t have a cage pattern printed on them. The fabric is cut out and sewed to look like a cage.
Which out-of-the-box look would you dare to try?
