Just because Fashion Week looked a little different this year, that doesn’t mean trends for spring are put on hold. The colder months have officially started, but I’ve already found some ways to incorporate fashion-forward spring trends into your wardrobe right now to keep you ahead of the curve.

My first look is my favorite trend, even though I wasn’t so sure about it at first. Vests are all the rage and, let me tell you, you’re going to be just as obsessed as I am. Puffer, athletic-type vests are easily dressed up or down, but a full sweatsuit with sneakers is the perfect look for this trend. I opted to get a little more chic with a pair of black skinny jeans and chunky ankle boots, though.

My boots are sold out, but I found a similar pair that you can shop below. I belted my Zara vest with a vintage leather belt with silver hardware and added oversized sunglasses to complete the look. I always love an all-black outfit, and I think this is why I couldn’t ever live anywhere other than New York City. I don’t know what colors they wear in other places!

My next look is something we’ve talked about before, but the springtime is going to be all about a good trench coat. Don’t be afraid to have fun with this look! A traditional trench is timeless, but switching up colors, patterns and textures is a great way to have fun with this staple piece.

I found this trench with plaid detail from ASOS. Plaid is still very on-trend, but sometimes I like it to be in a muted way rather than a typical plaid top. I kept my outfit casual underneath with just jeans and a T-shirt because I really wanted the jacket to be the standout piece.

My next look is pastels. I know what you’re thinking — Pastels for spring? Groundbreaking. But it wouldn’t be spring if we didn’t get to look at pretty springtime colors, right?

I ordered this sage oversized blazer from ASOS over the summer and am so happy I’ve been able to wear it for almost three seasons now. I paired it with an ivory sweater vest with matching knee-high boots. I know I said I love all-black ensembles, but this all-ivory moment with a muted sage blazer makes me just as happy.

I was very nervous about this last trend at first but, honestly, I’m starting to love it now. Netting and woven clothes are going to be big this spring, and there are a bunch of different ways to try this trend — think netting over dresses and tops.

Here, I opted for a high-waisted flare pant with a netted turtleneck. (This makes for a great holiday look, as well!) My top is sold out, but I found a similar one for you below.
