LORDS Fashions / LORDS Workwear First has helped dress the community for nearly 100 years.

Located at 198-200 Hare St, in the heart of the town, it is safe to say the business has come to know the town’s pulse.

The man behind the store, manager Craig Lord, said the business had not only provided quality family clothing, workwear and manchester throughout the years, but quality service too.

“This year has been a very difficult year for all businesses but since restrictions have eased, we have seen a flood of regulars back in store,” he said.

“Reduced hours and changes in operating conditions have tested LORDS Fashions, but we have emerged better and stronger.”

Craig said he was pleased by the many positive comments and the support he’d received from customers, especially the local shoppers.

“And at LORDS we will always be striving to be better,” he said.

“After all this time in business you would think we had seen it all — in terms of trading conditions — but the past six months have been as far away from normal as we could get.

“We currently have markdowns across the store with prices reduced to clear to help everyone’s budget through these trying times.

‘‘We have large ranges across all divisions of stock in men’s fashion, men’s business wear including suits and business shirts, ladies’ fashion, children’s fashion, sportswear, ladies’ lingerie and manchester. Our ranges cover just about every category of fashion you can think of.’’

The workwear department, LORDS Workwear First, has all the quality brands including ELWD, CAT, Bisley, Yakka, Blundstone and Australian made Mongrel Boots.

LORDS Workwear First also includes corporate wear, team wear and a large school wear range at the best prices.

The team can also do embroidery and printing for your personalised and business branding.
You can contact LORDS for information on what they have available in store or to get a quote for a bulk order.

Craig said the team aimed to give its customers the best experience possible.

“We have great staff who are all committed to help our customers,” he said.

‘‘Being in the middle of the main street of Echuca we do get a lot of tourists through our doors and we get comments from them on the uniqueness of our business — particularly the great variety of stock.

‘‘But our best support is from locals. They appreciate the support we give, and they give that support back to us by shopping at a locally owned business.

‘‘LORDS competes very well against the multinationals by offering great quality branded product and personalised service.

‘‘There’s been big changes in the main street in the past six to eight years. A lot of local independent stores have closed down and their spots have been taken over by the multinationals.

“We are keeping that local element going.”

He said LORDS was always looking for new additions to the brands and labels the business carries, to keep things fresh and improve customers’ overall shopping experience.

‘‘Our new season’s summer stock is in and we encourage everyone to come see it and get the best picks and look smart for those Christmas parties and quality gifts,” he said.

“Adding to our extensive clothing range is a large range of AFL-branded product which also makes an easy gift for that hard-to-buy-for person, with prices starting from $10 to the AFL wall frames starting at $199.”

If you can’t decide, LORDS gift vouchers are also available.
