For all of those who love the sounds of “Doo Wop” music of the 50s and 60s, the famed Jim McGreenvey is bringing back his popular “Doo Wop” show back to the Kellner Auditorium on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 7 p.m.
The Kellner Auditorium is located at 92 Civic Circle in Beverly Hills and is directly behind the Synagogue building.
Ticket cost is $20 per person.
All proceeds from this event go to the Beth Sholom Synagogue, according to Harvey Hamerling, who is a member of the Synagogue and will be the Emcee during the show.
“He previously had two sold out shows,” said Hamerling.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Jim McGreevey has been singing Doo Wop since he was in high school. He has sung with many different groups including a recent 10-year stint with “Lola and The Saints.”
In the past, he has performed on stage with The Chantels, The Duprees, Larry Chance, The Skyliners, Arlene Smith, The Earls and others.
Now , he performs as a solo artist in and around the Villages.
He also entertains at club functions, dances, sock hops and more.
While he’s well-known for his smooth vocals, besides belting out Doo Wop medleys, he also does other types of Rock n Roll songs, Teen Idol songs and has added a few surprises to his “Vegas Style Act.”
