LONDON (AP) — Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has shown her comic side in a video she released Wednesday to launch a mentoring project for women as she marked her 40th birthday.

The initiative will see 40 celebrities and public figures each commit 40 minutes of their time to help a woman in their community return to the workplace.

“Over two million in the U.S. alone and tens of millions around the world have lost their jobs due to COVID, and I think if we all do it and all commit 40 minutes to some sort of act of service we can create a ripple effect,” the wife of Prince Harry tells comedy actress Melissa McCarthy in the video.

Meghan jokes with McCarthy in the short film, but Harry then steals the show when he is seen juggling balls outside a window in the background.

The duchess wrote on the website of her charity Archewell that she wants to help women who have left the workforce due to the pandemic “regain confidence and rebuild their economic strength” and that she hopes her initiative will help inspire a “global wave of service” to those in need.

Others who have committed to the project include singer Adele, fashion designer Stella McCartney and Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, the wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Bridgerton is one of the popular American period drama series based on Julia Quinn’s novels whose first season was a massive hit among the audience. As the production for Bridgerton season 2 got delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the showrunner, Chris Van Dusen, recently made an announcement that the production has been resumed.

Bridgerton season 2 is back underway

According to the reports by Variety, after facing two sudden halts due to the pandemic, Bridgerton season 2 has finally resumed its production. Showrunner, Chris Van Dusen confirmed the news recently by stating, “We are back under way. We had to delay because of COVID, but we’re back in it”. “Right now I’m in post, editing our first couple episodes, which are looking great“, he added.

The filming of the show got shut down when a second COVID-19 case was confirmed on the sets. The show was also one of the numerous projects being filmed in the UK whose cast and crew were affected by the virus. Bridgerton season 2 will focus on the family’s eldest son Anthony Bridgerton (essayed by Jonathan Bailey) and his search to find a partner.

While dropping hints about the plot of the series, showrunner Chris stated, “We pick up Anthony after we’ve seen what he’s been through with his mistress. He’s thinking, ‘Was that love?’ Some would call it that, others would not. We’re exploring those concepts of duty and honor once again”.

As the makers of the show have been under pressure to live up to fans’ expectations, Van Dusen revealed, “There’s always been a pressure with this show from the beginning, being inspired by these beloved novels with fans who are so passionate and feel so strongly about these characters and these stories. There’s always been a healthy pressure there, I welcome it and I say keep the pressure on. It worked for the first season, and I hope people love this season and beyond as much as they did the first”.

Michael Kors “did not dream”, so he will continue to succeed.

A 61-year-old fashion designer founded his eponymous clothing company 40 years ago and admitted that he didn’t expect it to become a global brand.

He told WWD: I was 30 years old, so everything is relative. “

Cause and his husband Lance Luper spent a summer “vengeance trip” in Greece and Italy to supplement last year’s blockade of COVID-19 and attended a live show in New York.

He states: “We’re doing everything. I’ve seen him in the spectacular and exciting Broadway Springsteen. I did Shakespeare in the park the other day. It’s an unstable time, but I I think we have a real disgusting excitement and desire to be together. Community — [shows] That’s all, fashion is all about it. I know a woman who is excited to be able to put on her heels and get out and change clothes. “

Michael recently celebrated a 40-year milestone in the industry with a supper co-sponsored by Lizzie Tissue and Naomi Watts.

“He’s a lot of fun. The fact that he’s been in business for 40 years, especially in that business, is a significant achievement,” Tissue said.

Ellen Pompeo “has no desire” to act again.

The “Grey’s Anatomy” star hasn’t denied returning to acting one day, but she wasn’t “very excited” to continue her acting career and now “more” herself. It was full of entrepreneurial spirit. “

She states: “I’m not saying I’ll never act again. It may be okay, but I’m not so excited to continue my acting career. I’m more entrepreneurial at this stage. I’m excited to invest. It’s an exciting growing area and I’m using my brain differently. I’m sitting in the acting trailer I’m feeling, even though I’m not playing millions of different roles, Travel, shoot this in Atlanta, shoot it in Vancouver. I don’t want to sit on the trailer at 11pm, wait for the scene to shoot, and let AD knock on the door. Hmm. Tell me when you can eat lunch. It’s for young people in the heart. It’s for young people! “

And the 51-year-old actress was worried that she would never work again when she was in “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Talking about Ladies First in Laura Brown’s podcast, she added: I will be almost 40 years old when I can negotiate a contract again and get out. I’m a super typecast in this role. I’m 40 years old, so I’ll never work again. I thought I was 40 years old 15 years ago, it was like becoming an actress, but now that I’m 50, I don’t see it at all. I think I can do anything. To be honest, I can’t do anything. “

Marc Jacobs didn’t want to “live in shyness”, so he shared the results of the facelift on social media.

A 58-year-old fashion designer followed last month’s steps to post an Instagram snap, wrapping her entire head in gauze and a drainage bag, and putting water and blood on both sides of her ears.

Mark remembered how he told people about flocking after wearing a baseball cap at the Met Gala afterparty in 2010, and never thought twice about sharing images because the cosmetic procedure is always transparent. I explained that it was not.

He told Vogue magazine: “People were amused and surprised at what I answered, but to be honest, what’s the difference?

“I’m doing what I always do. It’s about living my life and sharing it with people who are interested.”

“I don’t want to live my life with shame, right? I find that I’m open, transparent, and honest with things. Yes, I’m useless. Waste. There is no shame in being. “

The designer revealed that he decided to get a facelift after deciding that Botox and Filler were no longer effective, and he was puzzled by the sense of shame associated with the procedure.

Mark said: “As you know, we all have filters on our mobile phones. We all retouch and filter photos. That’s the world we live in.

“It’s like we’re doing because the audience wants it, but the audience wants it because we’re doing it. So it’s this funny little circle. “

He said he felt it was “crazy” when he tried to claim that the other stars had not received cosmetology.

Mark said: “And they say,’Oh, that’s olive oil, I take a bath in Selzer.’

Here’s everything that is happening in Bollywood. (Photo: Raj Kundra, Mandira Bedi/Instagram)

Shilpa Shetty finally shared her official statement as her husband Raj Kundra is being investigated for allegedly creating and distributing pornographic content via mobile apps.

The Bombay High Court on Saturday adjourned hearing on a plea filed by businessman Raj Kundra alleging that his arrest in the adult films case was illegal as he was not served legal notices as per law. Kundra, along with his associate Ryan Thorpe who has also been arrested, has sought interim bail pending hearing of his plea seeking quashing of the case. Last week, Raj Kundra’s wife and actor Shilpa Shetty approached the Bombay High Court seeking to restrain various media organisations from publishing any ‘incorrect, false, malicious and defamatory’ content against her on social media and websites in connection with the arrest of her husband Raj Kundra in adult films case. The interim application filed by Shetty seeking damages to the tune of Rs 25 crore in the defamation suit stated that respondents are causing ‘irreparable harm’ and damage to her reputation with the aim of sensationalising news and increasing their readership and viewership. The court, however, refused to gag media. “You chose a life in the public eye then all this will come as part of the territory. Your life is under a microscope,” Justice Patel said. The court noted that the freedom of press has to be balanced with the right to privacy of an individual.

Shetty also sought an injunction against further publication of ‘completely false, erroneous, derogatory and defamatory’ information. The actor also received support from Richa Chadha and Hansal Mehta who tweeted against trolling of Shilpa on social media handles.

In other news, Bollywood is gearing up to return to sets and theatres. Kartik Aaryan on Sunday shared a picture of himself, expressing how he is getting back to what he loves the most. Kartik has signed a couple of films. The actor will be seen Dhamaka, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Freddy and Captain India. MTV is marking its 40th anniversary with a relaunch of its iconic image of an astronaut on the moon, with an MTV flag planted nearby.

On Sunday, the media network unveiled a large scale “Moon Person” during a ceremony at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The new design was inspired by a Moon Person image created this year by Kehinde Wiley, who painted the portrait of former President Barack Obama for the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. In an interview this week with The Associated Press, MTV Entertainment President and CEO Chris McCarthy said that the image of space travel fit well with the spirit of its young audience.

“This is our third generation that we’re reinventing for. Gen Z is by far one of the most interesting, incredibly creative and optimistic generations,” he said. “And so we thought, “Let’s go back to the origins and do it with NASA, but really do it about the next frontier, which represents generation Z and really represents a beautiful moon person that Kehinde built and where we’re going to be heading next.’”

NASA footage of the historic Apollo 11 landing in 1969, with the MTV flag added to the mix, were the first images to appear on MTV back on August 1, 1981, and the first video was the Buggles’ “Video Killed the Radio Star.” MTV vastly expanded the power of visual images in the music industry and has since broadly expanded its reach, broadcasting worldwide and adding such influential channels and programs as VH1, the Comedy Channel and the early reality show “The Real World.”

After fans, reviewers, music industry leaders and such artists as David Bowie criticized the channel for airing videos of virtually only white performers in its first years, MTV began playing more Michael Jackson and other Black artists who proved highly popular. The hip-hop program “Yo! MTV Raps,” which debuted in the U.S. in 1988, was lauded for highlighting a subculture which eventually became mass culture.

“I would be lying if I didn’t say that we made mistakes along the way. One of the bigger mistakes in the early years was not playing enough diverse music,” McCarthy said. “So we certainly have had our bumps in the road and made some mistakes. But the nice thing that I’ve always learned at MTV is we have no problem owning our mistakes, quickly correcting them and trying to do the right thing and always follow where the audience is going.”

MTV now has a vast presence on social media, with more than 700 million followers of MTV Entertainment.

“We launched as a video channel on what was the new medium of the time in 1981, which, hard to believe, that was cable,” McCarthy said. “I think the fun and interesting thing about MTV … is to constantly have to blow yourself up and forget everything you knew in order for us to recreate a brand new entity for each generation.”
